We have over 25 years experience in the design and manufacture of high voltage disconnectors and switches, and we are now regarded as one of the market leaders with a multi-million pound turnover. Equipment manufactured by MLE is used by electricity companies, oil and gas companies and rail electrification schemes throughout the UK and Ireland. We also export extensively to the Middle East, Far East and African countries.
During the month of May 2006, our Technical Manager, Steve Davies, conducted a series of seminars in Oman for the engineers of the Ministry of Housing Electricity & Water and Petroleum Development (Oman). The purpose of these seminars was to emphasise the superior features of our equipment over that of other manufacturers, and also to explain the latest developments in our range. Of particular interest to those present was the introduction of polymeric insulators and their advantages were explained.
We have now successfully completed the full range of 145kV test. We will be submitting all type test evidence to the ENA for formal approval for UK requirements.
