David Kearle
Director
David Kearle has served as Managing Director of JW Morris since 1994.
After graduating with First Class Honours in BSc Physics from the University of Bristol, David joined the firm in 1986 and was appointed as Contracts Director of its electrical contracting divisions in 1992. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and holds an MBA from the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales) with a particular interest in business organisations as complex adaptive systems.
Principal duties include chairing the board, strategic development, corporate governance, risk management, oversight of the Company’s operational and financial performance and delivery of stakeholder value.
Simon Thomas
Director
Simon is MLEH’s Procurement Director. He served as deputy Managing Director of Templegate Electrical Supplies Limited, one of S Wales and SW England leading Electrical Wholesalers. Prior to which Simon worked with David and Brian as Divisional Director of JW & E Morris & Son Ltd in house Electrical Wholesaling Division. Simon brings 25 years’ experience in procurement to the business.
Paul Osborne
General Manager (MLE HV UK)
Paul Osborne is the General Manager for our High Voltage division Morris Line Engineering with responsibility for technical and commercial matters.
Paul started working for Morris Line Engineering in 1995 in the drawing office, before becoming the drawing office manager in 2005, and later becoming the contract manager in 2008. During this time Paul has developed and enhanced his knowledge and skills in the design, manufacturing and commercial aspects of high voltage switchgear in the electrical supply industry.
Paul is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the commercial office & drawing office. His duties include analysis of specifications, preparation of quotations, negotiation, in-house design, customer support, producing drawings and parts lists for new concepts and designs to suit the customer’s individual requirements.
Paul Osborne is qualified with a HND qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Power).
Mike Komor
Contracts Manager (MLE HV UK)
Mike Komor is Contracts Manager at Morris Line Engineering and is responsible for UK and worldwide markets.
Mike joined JW Morris as an undergraduate engineer in 2006, and gained a wealth of practical and commercial experience with the Electrical & Mechanical Installation, Health & Safety, Fire Alarm, and LV Manufacturing divisions during his time there.
In 2010 Mike joined the team at MLE and provides a first point of contact for new and existing customers, giving pre-sales and after-sales techno-commercial support, analysing specifications, preparing proposals and negotiating contracts.
Mike holds a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glamorgan (now the University of South Wales).
Nigel Jones
Business Development Manager (MLE HV UK)
Nigel Jones is Sales, Marketing & Technical Engineer at Morris Line Engineering and is responsible for the UK and Ireland markets.
Nigel began employment at MLE in 1996 and held a number of positions within the Production Department before his appointment to his current position in 2010. During his time with the company Nigel has invaluable excellent technical knowledge of the products manufactured, and has also developed project engineering skills and an excellent understanding of health and safety requirements in high voltage environments.
Nigel is committed to giving all customers the high quality equipment and excellent service they have come to expect from the company. With this is mind he leads MLE’s in-house installation team and has recently been overseen major installation and maintenance projects at National Grid, Network Rail and Tata sites.
Nigel’s knowledge and practical experience of the complete product range makes him a key member of the team responsible for proving new equipment, and as such he has witnessed extensive type testing at high voltage laboratories in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
Mark Jarman

Mark Jarman is our Health, Environmental and Safety Manager.
Mark joined JW Morris in 2013 after 22 years’ experience in providing health and safety services to both public and major private sector employers across the UK.
Mark has worked in a wide range of industries including Defence, Nuclear, Heavy Manufacturing, Policing and Consumer goods. Mark maintains keen professional interests in safety culture development and organizational change.
A broad practical experience is complimented by strong academic record with a B.Ed (Hons) Vocational Training & Development degree from Cardiff University, a MSc in Occupational Health & Safety from Cardiff Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health.

Vijay Gujjar is the General Manager of MLE’s international operation based in Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone
Vijay has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic) from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India & MBA (Operations) from the UAE.
Vijay has over 18 years of in-depth industry experience in Strategic thinking, Decision making, Corporate Planning, Designing of New Business Models, Cost Estimation, Budgeting, Production, Business Operations (ERP), Material Management, Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Negotiations, Vendor Development, Value Engineering, Team Management, Employee Relations and Staff development.
He has previously worked with several international & a proven experience in successful setting-up and profitable operations of businesses from concept to commercialization for electrical equipment / appliances.
Geraint Thomas
Senior Manager (MLE LV & Fire Alarms)
Geraint Thomas is the senior manager responsible of our Fire Alarm and LV Manufacturing Divisions.
Geraint joined JW Morris in June 2001 having a decades experience in the fire alarm industry.
In 2005, Geraint was appointed as our project engineer, before being promoted to divisional manager in 2012. As divisional manager of Morris Churchfield, Geraint has successfully helped our fire division attract new clientele from many new sectors, including Health, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Aviation and Education.
To complement his hands on experience Geraint has professional Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, a City and Guilds certificate (236, Parts 1 and 2, 17th Edition) and a qualification from FIA / BFPSA (Units 1, 2, 3 & 5).
Geraint was appointed as senior manager in 2015, and is currently studying a B.A. (Hons) Business Management degree at the Open University.
Marc Rogers
Business Development Engineer (MLE LV)
Marc is MLE LV’s Business Development Engineer. Marc joined the firm in October 2017, after an extensive career in various sales and systems engineering capacities for firms such as MJ Wilson and Kigg. Marc is the main point of contact for LV clients, and is dedicated in giving pre-sales and after-sales technological support, negotiation and developing critical relationships with customers and suppliers. Marc holds a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Swansea University.
David Lloyd
Divisional Manager (Fire Alarms)
David Lloyd is our divisional manager for Morris Churchfield.One of our longest serving members of staff, David joined JW Morris in 2003 as an installation electrician, and in 2006 moved over to Morris Churchfield (then Morris Fire) as an installation engineer on various sites, before moving up to commissioning engineer role.
After progressing into more senior engineering positions, David was promoted to Operations Manager in 2012 which saw him take over the running of the maintenance projects, post contract works, and labour management. In March 2016, he was then appointed divisional manager.
Aside from completing his apprenticeship as an electrician with other employers, David has also completed a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Management & Leadership. As of January 2015, he is currently working towards a Management Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship.
Mike Read
Divisional Manager (JWM Metals)
Mike Read is our Divisional Manager for Metals.
Mike commenced work with JW Morris as an Apprentice Electrician in 1975, working at Petro Chemical and Paper industry sites for Texaco, Shell and BP.
After gaining his electricians certificate in 1978, Mike was transferred to British Steel Port Talbot. He has remained in our Metal division for 37 years, holding many positions in the division such as Foreman, Planning Supervisor and Area Engineer at what is now Tata Steel.
With his broad experience in the metals sector Mike was appointed as divisional manager in March 2007.
Alun Davies
Divisional Manager (JWM Industry)
Alun Davies is our Engineering Manager for Industrial Projects.
Starting in 1982 as an apprentice, Alun worked across numerous sites for JW Morris, and was primarily based in our Low Voltage Manufacturing Facility.
After many years with JW Morris, Alun decided to leave the firm for further employment across the U.K. Gaining experience as a Project Manager in heavy industries such as Petro-Chemical works and Power Generation, Alun returned to the firm in 2005 as our Project Manager. He is currently our Engineering Manager of the Industrial Project Division
As well as his extensive array of professional experience, Alun gained a H.N.C qualification in Electrical Engineering in 1987, as part of his apprenticeship.
